At the heart of our program are three guiding principles: training, application, and service. Our goal is to empower secondary school students to become the next generation of environmental leaders—young people who not only care about the planet but also take meaningful action to promote green living in their schools and local communities. To achieve this, we partner with green social enterprises and professional training providers to deliver a well-rounded learning experience. Participants take part in expert-led courses, educational site visits, and hands-on projects. These activities are designed to build both practical skills—such as leadership and digital media proficiency—and a deeper understanding of environmental issues and social responsibility.
The program is delivered in three progressive stages. It begins with foundational lessons on environmental topics and creative green crafting sessions. This is followed by specialized workshops focused on teamwork, multimedia tools, and leadership development. In the final stage, students step into the role of "student environmental advocates," working under the guidance of experienced mentors to design and carry out their own community-based campaigns that encourage sustainable habits. Over the course of one year, participants engage with their communities on multiple occasions, putting their ideas into practice. This direct involvement not only addresses real local needs but also strengthens students' sense of belonging and community spirit. At the same time, it helps spread eco-conscious values and sustainable practices more widely among residents.
By the end of the program, students emerge with enhanced leadership, organizational, and communication abilities. Equally important, the environmental awareness of parents, school staff, and community members also grows throughout the process. In this way, the program creates a ripple effect—benefiting individuals, families, and the wider community—while making a tangible contribution to environmental protection and long-term social sustainability.
