IRD served Baojing county for a long period and rooted in it. In near future, the county government will develop the Baojing County Cultural and Arts Center, which is a building integrated with a universal health centre, ethnic cultural center, archives, workers' culture palace, etc. The centre will take care of mental health of local people and enrich their cultural lives.

IRD has been invited by the county government and will once again collaborate with the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Hong Kong after the Angdong Charitable Hospital project. The faculty is responsible for the project design while IRD works as a adviser, providing suggestion on the future content of the centre, in order to ensure the project fulfil the expectations of the local people. Only with the engagement of locals, it can meet the purpose of the centre: based on a people-oriented, energy-saving, modern idea, to show the spirit of serving the public and social humane care.

We hope to push the government to facilitate the interaction between urban and rural, and to provide a more diversified support in the future. The Faculty of Architecture of the University of Hong Kong is working on the project framework design at the moment.
